Following Christ's commission to make disciples of all nations and extending his hand of compassion following the Biblical mandate to exercise the pure religion of caring for the poor and needy especially the orphaned and widowed.

 

We do this now through a more focused approach with our Church of God Great Commission social action, pastoral equipping, and various community outreach ministries in India led by our boots on the ground.

Pillars of Our Vision

​

To effectively execute our mission across India, the Church of God Great Commission directs its efforts into three strategic pillars managed by our native leaders:

 

• Social Action: Actively operating as the hands and feet of Christ by setting up long-term support systems for the most vulnerable populations, specifically focusing on the urgent needs of local orphans and widows.

​

• Pastoral Equipping: Continuing the foundational legacy from 1974 by training, mentoring, and resource-equipping native ministers to effectively lead healthy, resilient local congregations.

​

• Community Outreach: Deploying our dedicated local missionaries directly into unreached villages, slums, and tribal pockets to offer both spiritual guidance and practical relief.

 

The Reality of Our Mission Field:

 

The Harvest is Plentiful, but the Workers are Few: An overwhelming 90% of India’s distinct people groups have never heard the message of the Gospel even once. While the unreached wait for spiritual breakthrough, local indigenous believers are waiting for the vital tools, training, and resources required to step out and proclaim the name of Jesus to their own countrymen.

 

Understanding the Unreached Profile:

 

• Complete Spiritual Isolation: Millions of individuals grow up in communities completely devoid of a single Christian believer, a local fellowship, or a copy of the Holy Scriptures. This total lack of access defines what it means to be truly unreached.

 

• The Critical Distinction: Being "unreached" is fundamentally different from being "lost." A lost individual may live near a church, hear Scripture, or understand the Gospel, yet actively choose to reject it.

 

• Zero Exposure: Conversely, the unreached masses of India possess absolutely no knowledge of Christ’s salvation simply because no one has ever traveled to their region to tell them, leaving them completely cut off from eternal hope.

 

• The Scale of the Challenge: Out of 2,373 distinct ethnic and cultural people groups across the Indian subcontinent, a staggering 2,135 groups remain classified as unreached. These specific communities contain less than a 2% Christian population and suffer from a total absence of active church-planting initiatives.

 

Confronting Systemic and Severe Poverty:

 

• The Struggle for Daily Survival: Christ promised an abundant life full of purpose, yet millions across India endure severe material deprivation. Families face chronic hunger, survive in dangerous, unhygienic environments, and see no viable escape from their circumstances.

 

• The Illiteracy Trap: Extreme poverty is deeply intertwined with high illiteracy rates. When a woman is unable to write her name, she is locked out of formal employment and cannot open a secure bank account. Lacking basic math skills, she faces constant exploitation in local markets with no means to defend her livelihood.

 

• Severe Economic Strain: Over 130 million individuals subsist on less than $2.15 a day, a crushing financial reality that directly fuels widespread child malnutrition. Data indicates that nearly half of India’s youth—roughly 60 million children—are dangerously underweight.

 

• The Slum Crisis: An estimated 65 million people live in overcrowded, makeshift slum settlements. Families pack tightly into temporary shelters constructed from plastic tarps and rusted tin roofs. With dirt floors beneath them and no sewage infrastructure, maintaining basic human dignity and sanitation is a daily battle.

 

Strategic Action Across 4 Zones:

Our physical reach spans 4 major operational zones across India, driving a grassroots gospel movement through an established network of 200 village churches and 238 active house fellowships. The vast majority of these ministries are concentrated in the southern and eastern belts of the country, specifically across the states of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Orissa and 5 other states in north India, where Navigating Strict Anti- Conversion Regulations.

• 158 Local Pastors anchoring established, permanent regional congregations.

 

• 124 Ministry Pioneers launching and leading dynamic home-based fellowships.

 

• 74 Field Evangelists conducting bold public outreach and personal soul-winning.

• 58 Native Missionaries breaking new spiritual ground in completely unreached frontier territories.

 

Core Institutional Projects

To fulfill our biblical mandates, CGGC operates 12 strategic, frontline initiatives designed to break generational poverty, combat spiritual isolation, and protect vulnerable communities:

 

Church Planting: Establishing permanent, self-sustaining local congregations that serve as spiritual sanctuaries and beacons of community transformation.

 

Sending Native Missionaries: Deploying culturally adapted indigenous evangelists into unevangelized regions to plant seeds where Christ is completely unknown.

 

Orphanages: Providing safe housing, healthy nutrition, quality clothing, and loving spiritual guidance to abandoned and vulnerable children.

 

Schools for Free Education: Operating tuition-free academic centers to give marginalized children the intellectual tools necessary to build a prosperous, stable future.

 

Water Wells: Boring deep-water community wells to provide fresh, clean drinking water, saving local women and young girls from walking long, dangerous miles every day to collect water.

 

Pastoral Training: Providing structured theological, practical, and scriptural instruction to regional leaders to ensure local churches remain doctrinally sound and spiritually vibrant.

 

Equipping Children for the Next Generation: Running youth discipleship programs, Sunday schools, and character-building mentorship groups to raise up the next wave of righteous leaders.

 

Helping Widows: Offering direct financial aid, emergency food supplies, and micro-enterprise opportunities to marginalized widows who have been rejected by society.

 

Printing Gospel Tracts: Compiling, translating, and distributing massive volumes of localized evangelistic literature to share the Gospel efficiently across remote communities.

 

PA Systems & Equipment Supply: Distributing portable sound systems, generators, and outdoor ministry kits to street evangelists and frontier church planters.

 

Bicycles for Poor Students: Giving sturdy bicycles to impoverished students living in remote rural areas, ensuring they can travel safely to school and complete their education.

 

Legal Cell Establishment: Operating a dedicated legal defense fund to protect, represent, and advocate for native pastors, evangelists, and church members facing hostile religious persecution or extremist attacks.
